Jews in hiding in Nazi Berlin, 1941-1945 : a demographic survey
2017
This demographic survey of the 1.700 Jews who survived the Holocaust by hiding in Berlin provides an empirical framework for understanding the phenomenon in the capital of Nazi Germany and throughout Europe. The study adresses four primary issues : how many Jews attempted to hide, when Jews decided to hide, how many hidden Jews were arrested and whether gender and age affected survival.
