Papers of Cyril Wernick

Cyril Wernick (1917-45) was a lance corporal in the Royal Norfolk Regiment. He was taken prisoner at the fall of Singapore and was held at Changi. Shortly after his release, he died of malnutrition and was buried in Madras. The Special Collections Division is available for anyone to use, regardless of whether you are attached to an academic institution. Access to the Archives and Manuscripts and Rare Books reading room, however, is by prior appointment to access the manuscript material. See our for more details.
