Nazi Bavarian Gauleiter exhumed for inverstigation. A cemetery attendant start to open the grave of Nazi Gauleiter Paul Gieseler of Bavaria June 6, 1945, at Berchtesgaden, Germany, for inverstigation by officials of the Seventh U.S Army. Gieseler was brougt to the reserve Lazarette Military Hospital in Berchtesgaden May3, suffering from poisoning which was allegedly self-administered. He removed same day by his Nazi adjudant was returned the following day with several head wounds which caused his death. He was buried in an unmarked grave May 8. His wife was found a few days after his death, dead from bullet wounds.
