
Liberated U.S. prisoners
Liberated U.S. prisoners evacuated by air. Liberared American soldiers, returned to France by air, are given Coca-Colas, candy, cigarets and doughnuts at a Red Cross canteen set up on the airfield for them. The men wear an assortment of American and German uniforms and hoods to cover their heads, which were shaved by the Nazis. Transport planes carrying supplies to the front return to France with Allied prisoners.
