Filipino troops trained to fight to free homeland. A large number of Filipino troops have been trained in t he U.S. so they can participate in driving the enemy from their homeland. Many were among the powerful U.S. forces that landed in the heart of the Philippine Commonwealth, to begin its liberation after two and a half years of Japanese oppression.
