Madrid flats demolished by shells and bombs. A scene of utter desolation in a block of flats bordering Moncloa Park. The whole of the front wall has been torn away by successive shellings, and flooring joists hang in gruesome patterns against a background of rain-dossen wallpaper and broken windows.
