Contains a biography of Charlotte Salomon, as well as paintings by her which reflect her life story. Salomon was born in 1917 in Berlin and fled in 1939 to southern France. She was interned at Gurs in summer 1940 for several weeks, together with her grandfather. She married in February 1943; in September 1943 she and her husband were deported to Auschwitz and murdered there.
