The history of many originators of the fonds overlap with the history of individual participants and witnesses of the Czech resistance and Nazi occupation, or institutions that joined the resistance or later included the former resistance movement participants. The fonds contains archival materials concerning the history of the Czech resistance during the World War II, the uprising in May 1945 and various aspects of the life of the society in that period. The fonds also includes sources for persecution of the Jewish population such as the Decree on Marriage of Jews and Jewish Half-Breeds from 8 October 1942; announcements of Jewish fiancés and undelivered envelopes from the Prague Municipal Office with copies of marriage and birth certificates for persons of Jewish origin in the transports (1941-1942).
