Personal papers pertaining to the imprisonment of Moritz Steinhäuser in Buchenwald concentration camp, the preparation of his emigration, and his life as refugee in Shanghai. Arrested as a so called 'race defiler', the Jewish clerk Moritz Steinhäuser (born on 13 October 1907 in Oberlauringen) from Fürth was imprisoned in the concentration camps Dachau and Buchenwald from 1935 to 1939.
