The majority of Jews emigrated after the invasion of the German Wehrmacht in May 1940 to France. The staying members of the Jewish community in Luxembourg were deported from the summer of 1942 from the camp Fünfbrunnen or from Luxembourg City to Theresienstadt and to the extermination camps in Poland.
