Included is a genealogy of the Jedlinski family, including relatives living in Israel, and a description of the history of Jews in Czestochowa prior to the war, and the events there following the German occupation and the formation of the ghetto. Jedlinski's own experiences are detailed, including his time as a forced laborer at a HASAG camp in Częstochowa and at other labor camps, concluding with his liberation from Mittelbau-Dora in 1945, the fates of his parents and siblings, his period as a displaced person in Germany after the war (Bad Reichenhall, Zeilsheim), his immigration to France in November 1945, adoption of the first name of "Robert," his marriage to Bronka Friedman, and his subsequent life in France.
