Michael Spillias collection

Consists of six photographs taken by Michael Spillias, a member of the 11th Armored Division, after the liberation of the Mauthausen concentration camp. The photographs depict the collection and reburial of corpses as well as of survivors who were liberated at the camp. Michael Spillias was a member of the 11th Armored Division of the U.S. Third Army. He was a Private First Class, Battery A, 491st Field Artillery Battalion.
