Testimony, handwritten, eight pages, Russian, by Fanya Vaisman (Weisman), of Chicago, in June 1994. Originally from a village (Shpikov) in Vinnitsa district, Ukraine, Vaisman describes experiences in Pechora camp and Shargorod ghetto, as well as hiding in forest after escape.

The papers consist of postcards written in Nazi-occupied Poland. The majority of the postcards were written by Jacob Holschutz in Brody, Poland, to Louis Holschütz in Chicago, Ill. See numbered list in accession file.

Arthur L. Zegart (1917-1989) was born in Chicago and attended the University of Chicago. During World War II, he was part of a U.S. Army Air Force combat photography unit.
