An engineer of the 103rd Division, Seventh U.S. Army, sharess his C rations with an Alsatian child in Gundershoffen, France, where the engineers are repairing a bridge. Nine miles northwest of Haguenau, Gundershoffen was taken March 17, 1945, two days after the start of the new Seventh Army offensive in Northeastern Alsace.
